It’s officially that time of year again where you can enjoy the fresh season of outdoor film screenings and live music under the twilight stars on South Beach Reserve St Kilda.

This years screenings won’t be like any other, showing the latest new releases alongside some all time favourites and alternative movies to cater for everyone. The American Express OpenAir Cinemas offers a unique experience for both family and friends, extending our screening locations off the back of Yarra Park which finished on the 3rd November – so if you didn’t get a chance to experience the outdoor cinematic extravaganza, why not venture down to St Kilda for a random catch up with friends or a romantic date night.

From 22nd November, St Kilda’s South Beach Reserve will be taken over by an action pack program of live entertainment, dining and music, elevating American Express open air cinemas as the No.1 things to experience this summer. If you don’t want to leave your fluffy friends at home, why not bring them down too for doggy dates. Providing couches and doggy treats, its the perfect pet friendly event not to be missed this summer.

What time does the films start?
This depends on location, as they generally wait for the sun to set prior to starting the film. But don’t be afraid, gates open at 6pm with plenty of food and beverages options available at all locations, so they encourage you to arrive early for sunset drinks and enjoy the whole experience of the venues.

Wet Weather Policy
These events are an all-weather outdoor event – subject to severe weather conditions that put patron’s safety at risk. All film screening swill proceed rain, wind or shine, with complimentary ponchos provided should you need them.

In an event of cancellation, all details will be communicated to ticket holders respectively via SMS or email by 5pm on the day of screening.

Can you buy tickets at the gate upon arrival?
Yes. All ticket types are available for purchase at the gate, although please understand that capacity is limited so we recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance to avoid missing out.

Children and Concession Policy

Concession Tickets 
A patron must have the appropriate form of concession to be able to purchase a concession ticket. The following forms are accepted for the purchase of tickets;

• Children ages 5-14
• Student cards
• Pensioner Concession card
• Department of Veteran Affairs Health Card and TPI
• Health Care Card
• Companion Card

Child Policy
• Children aged 0-4 years of age can attend FREE with a paying adult for all screenings
• Children aged 5 and over will require a ticket to gain entry.
